Lynn has been fervently reading and writing since she was a child, but it was only upon leaving the safety of the corporate world in 2002 that she began to think of herself as a "professional writer". Veritably, she had written during her entire career, as an outlet for her creativity. In doing so, she developed skills in copywriting, training, article writing and editing. She was even invited to write a portion of a chapter for the McGraw-Hill Recycling Handbook, in relation to her job, and did so. You can read it in the book's 2nd edition. Now she continually hones those skills and regularly helps others tell their stories through ghostwriting and copywriting.
Once founding her writing business, Lynn discovered that she also had quite the knack for being a good editor. Her marketing background and keen study of literary writing pair nicely in this regard. She's helped many authors refine their book manuscripts in preparation for shopping them around to agents or publishers. You can read all about this on her company's website, http://www.thompsonwriting.com.
The corporate years also gave Lynn plenty of opportunities to develop and exercise her speaking skills. With this experience and the Dale Carnegie Course as a foundation, she has spoken to corporate groups, industry conference attendees, and local community and writers' groups. Feedback on her presenting style and the information conveyed is overwhelmingly positive. While she has expertise in a number of areas, with sufficient prep time she can prepare a speech on pretty much any subject, depending on your needs. Contact her if you're booking speakers for your next event.
Through it all, Lynn has had a passion for animals, and most especially cats. After a front-page newspaper story on pet longevity featuring Lynn and her then-21-year-old cat ran in 2009, an anonymous post hurled an insult of "old maid cat lady" at her. Not one to let something like that steal her joy, Lynn responded by branding her new online retail site "Old Maid Cat Lady"! If you visit it you'll find a grand assortment of quality products for cats and their people.
Lynn's latest venture is to become a Founding Distributor for Bellamora. What's Bellamora? It's a brand-new line of cosmeceutical skin care products due to launch in June, 2011. What's so different about it? The transdermal delivery system in the formula was developed from a patented burn cream and actually penetrates the skin to get the ingredients to the layers where they will do the most good. Lynn was so impressed that she bought into Bellamora on the first day it was possible to do so! If you'd like to look younger, and make some serious money in the process, visit her Bellamora site to see how!
